Larien

Sold

Larien is a lovely and gracious hostess, but looks can be deceiving. Outside she is a she-elf domestic diva, baking bread and playing hostess to any weary travelers through the forests, but beneath the façade beats a heart of steel.

She may or may not like you and depending on her whims, she may decide to give you fresh baked bread or poisonous fungi disguised as such.

As with all things in the world of fae, you must be cautious, or you might find yourself deathly ill by ingesting something lethal when it seems to be something completely innocuous.

She is holding a platter of bread while standing beside a fly agaric mushroom which is highly poisonous. So is this an innocent gift or the kiss of death? Only she knows for sure.

She is immaculately dressed and has a beautiful smile, but can you really trust her? Does she honestly like you or is it all an act? You'll never know for sure, so it's best to be on the safe side of things. Be nice, gently decline her offer, and be on your way.

As with all my creations, Larien is completely sculpted by hand without the use of molds of any kind. She is a one of a kind original and will never be reproduced.

Larien has poseable arms and legs and stands securely on her base with the help of brass rods and tubing. She can stand on her own, but her base will not allow her to stumble.

Her hands, feet, head and bust are made from polymer clay, and she has a soft body and limbs over wire armature. She has glass bead eyes, and black mohair for her locks. Her skin is the natural color of the clay with a little blushing of acrylic paint for added color.

Her clothes have been completely sewn by hand out of velvet, satin, and muslin, and has shoes made of leather. All the embroidery on her clothing was hand sewn as well. She wears a necklace of silver glass sead beads.

The base is made of wood and decorated with rocks, moss, lichen and Spanish moss. The "dirt" is comprised of herbs and spices which gives a nice aroma to compliment the fresh baked bread.

Her platter and the bread are all made from polymer clay as is the mushroom on the base.

She is 7 3/4 inches tall standing, and the base adds another inch to that height.
