Rangor the Troll

Sold

Rangor is a troll. Not a nice troll, just a plain old everyday troll. He's always out after a weary traveler, and is not above snatching them up for an evening meal. He's big, ugly and rather nasty in appearance and character. However, he is a bit different from most trolls in that he has a dream. A dream that everyone tells him is impossible to achieve for a troll.

He wants to watch a sunrise.

Of course watching a sunrise means certain death for trolls, since they are turned to stone at the first light of dawn. Rangor has spent years dreaming of laying beneath the sun in some faraway paradise, and has even stolen some travel brochures in the pockets of some of his victims, and spends his nights looking through them and dreaming of what it would be like.

Maybe today he will decide to go ahead and try to follow his dream, or maybe not. One thing is for sure though, one day before he dies, he will see that sunrise.

Rangor stands 9" tall and can stand on his own. He comes with a wooden base to make sure he stands securely. His hands, head and feet are hand sculpted out of polymer clay without the use of molds of any kind. His body is made of cloth over a wire armature for poseability.

His skin is the natural color of the clay with washes of color to give it a more natural look. His eyes are hand painted and even have a bloodshot look to them. His skin has veining and all paint if applied in such a way as to make it completely washable. It will not chip, peel or wash off.

Everything, with the exception of the wooden base are handmade by myself. Chain mail collar is hand assembled out of hundreds of hand made links of 20 gauge galvanized wire. His chain belt is also hand made out of black galvanized wire which was hand wrapped to make each link. Clothes are hand made, and hand sewn, and he has leather gantlets. His hair is mohair and is a bit unkempt and even has a birds nest in it over his right ear. The skull, teeth and leg bone adorning his belt are all hand sculpted without the use of molds out of polymer clay. He has several travel brochures in his hand and back pocket.
