Figward and Pia Rasheda

Figward is a showman and puppeteer. Dressed in coattails, he travels about with his faithful marionette Pia Rasheda and delights all the children he meets along the way. Figward is a Treean, a small race of elves who make their homes in old hollow trees. There is a great storytelling tradition among them, and they delight in puppet shows and story time, and some become masters at the art. Figward is just such a master, and can weave a tale faster than a faery can flap her wings.

He is also an expert in the ways of the other fae folk that they share their lands with. Myths and legends are his forte and he spends a great deal of time traveling to find out information from other races of elves and faeries, so he can weave them into his stories.

Figward is hand sculpted out of polymer clay, over a wire armature. His hands, head, and feet are sculpted and his body is soft and poseable. His skin is the natural color of the clay, but washes of paint have been applied to give him a more natural look. He stands 10 inches tall, and the base (which was not cut by me, but I did stain and finish it) adds about another 3/4 inch.

Pia Rasheda is also a pure sculpt, and is hand assembled out of sections made of polymer clay. She is a working marionette, and fully jointed. Her arms and legs are attached via wires to give plenty of movement, and she is strung on threads and attached to the control handles, which can be removed from Figward's hands. She stands 5 inches not including strings or controls. She is lightly dressed in lace and sheer material with gold glitter.

Pia is made from more opaque clays and given white washes and blushing to look more like a painted wooden marionette. Her wings are made from clay and have been given a metallic sheen and have been painted black on the edges, but are still translucent in the center. They are unbreakable and poseable.

Figward's hair is made from Tussha or vegetarian silk, and Pia's hair is also silk than has been hand dyed a light blonde color. Figward is dressed in muslin, linen and velvet, and his buttons are hand made from polymer clay. His shoes are made from ploymer clay as well.

All clothes have been sewn by hand, as Treeans don't have sewing machines and neither do I.
